53 Spitfire Grads Still Active in Professional Hockey

windsor spitfires ontario hockey league logoThe Windsor Spitfires have, in the past few years, become the premier team, not just in the Ontario Hockey League, but in the whole CHL. It turns out, they’ve been a pretty good producer of professional calibre talent for a lot longer than that.

Currently, there are 53 Windsor Spitfire alumni playing professionally in the hockey world. 15 of these players find themselves on NHL rosters. One player, Tim Gleason, was an emergency, last-minute, addition to Team USA for the 2010 Olympic Games in Vancouver.
