Ontario Hockey League grad Mike Wilson has played just seven games over the past four seasons. After not playing for the first half of the 2010-11 season, Wilson has been picked up by the Toledo Walleye of the ECHL and has one goal in his first two games with the club.

In his final season, he contributed 47 points from the blue line in 64 regular season games. The Wolves made it to the Robertson Cup semi-finals that season before losing to the Detroit Junior Red Wings in seven games. He was selected to the CHL All-Rookie Team in his first season.Mike was taken by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft, 20th overall. The Canucks traded his rights in the summer of 1996 to the Buffalo Sabres as part of the deal that brought Alexander Mogilny to Vancouver and placed Mike Peca in a Sabres uniform.

Ontario Hockey League Grad In Rookie Season With Toledo Of ECHL
Filed under ECHL (East Coast Hockey League)Dec 30
Nick Duff played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2002-03 to 2005-06. He began his OHL career with the Kitchener Rangers and midway through his second season, he was shipped off to the Brampton Battalion, where he finished out his OHL playing days.A stay at home defenseman, Duff topped out at three goals in each of his final two seasons with the Battalion. In that final season, his three goals all came in one game. Nick became only the second defenseman in the history of the Brampton franchise to accomplish this feat.
Duff spent four seasons in the Canadian university system with the University of British Columbia upon graduating from the Ontario Hockey League.
Duff began his first season in professional hockey this year with the Toledo Walleye of the East Coast Hockey League. At one point, he was released by the team and the Newcastle Vipers of Great Britain’s Elite Ice Hockey League were anticipating his arrival. The Walleye decided they wanted him back and Nick abandoned his move across the Atlantic.
Duff has appeared in just nine games so far this season with Toledo, contributing a point in the form of an assist.

Adam Keefe Hopes For Injury Free Season With Toledo Walleye
Filed under ECHL (East Coast Hockey League)Aug 14A few days ago, we posted about London Knight’s alumnus, Danny Bois. Danny’s 913 regular season penalty minutes were by far a London Knights career standard. Adam Keefe, a former Sudbury Wolve and Kitchener Ranger, tops Bois with 975 career Ontario Hockey League regular season penalty minutes.
Adam Keefe played in the Ontario Hockey League for one more season than Danny Bois at five. He played from 2000-01 to 2004-05, beginning with the Sudbury Wolves and switching over to the Kitchener Rangers during the 2001-02 season. In his third season, he was a part of the Kitchener team that won the Hamilton Spectator as the regular season leader in the Ontario Hockey League, the Robertson Cup as Ontario Hockey League playoff champion as well as the being the recipient of the Memorial Cup.
Adam enters the 2010-11 season as a returning member of the Toledo Walleye of the East Coast Hockey League. This past season, Keefe appeared in just 24 regular season games for Toledo due to injury. He played four playoff games for the Walleye and had four goals, mostly from a hat-trick against Charlotte.
Keefe started his professional career in Toledo after graduating from the Ontario Hockey League. In 2005-06, he split his season between the Toledo Storm of the ECHL and the Manitoba Moose of the AHL. Adam has since played for the Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL, the Grand Rapids Griffins of the AHL and the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL before returning to Northern Ohio.
Older brother Sheldon was an Ontario Hockey League scoring machine with Toronto St. Michael’s Majors and the Barrie Colts. He was a second round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Lightning but saw only 125 games in the National Hockey League and dropped away from professional hockey after the 2004-05 season.
