Find Out Where Your Favourite OHL Grads Are Playing

    carter trevisani hc asiago lega italiana hockey ghiaccio italyCarter Trevisani played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2000-01 to 2002-03, all with the Ottawa 67′s. In his first and third season with Ottawa, the 67′s went to the Robertson Cup finals. They won the first season and lost in Carter’s third to the Kitchener Rangers. Trevisani played a pretty amazing 53 playoff games over the three seasons.

    Trevisani was drafted by the Carolina Hurricanes in the eighth round of the 2001 National Hockey League draft, 244th overall. At the end of his Ontario Hockey League career, Carter immediately jumped to Italy and the Lega Italiana Hockey Ghiaccio (LIHG). Trevisani has played in the league since, except for 2006-07 when he played in Sweden’s Allsvenskan.

    His dual citizenship allowed him to appear at the 2006 Winter Olympic Games for Italy, scoring one goal in five games. He has appeared for Italy at the IIHF World Hockey Championships on three different occasions.

    Trevisani is entering his second season with HC Asiago. Previously, he has played for Brunico, Milano and Verese in the league.

    nick plastino team italy 2010 iihf world hockey championshipsA few days ago, we mentioned (go to post) that OHL grad John Parco was playing for Team Italy at the 2010 IIHF World Hockey Championships. There is one other Ontario Hockey League grad, a teammate of Parco’s, playing for Italy.

    Nick Plastino played four seasons in the OHL with the Barrie Colts from 2003-04 to 2006-07. Undrafted, Plastino left for Italy immediately after junior and has played with HC Asiago of the Lega Italiana Hockey su Ghiaccio for the past three seasons.

    HC Asiago finished third in the nine team league during the regular season in 2009-10. Nick was sixth on the team in scoring. The team was led in scoring by another Barrie Colt grad, Michael Henrich.
