    patrick jarrett eislowen bundesliga

Patrick Jarrett as a Berlin Eisbaren.

For five seasons, Patrick Jarrett provided steady offensive numbers in the Ontario Hockey League. In his rookie season, 2000-01, Patrick was the Mississauga IceDogs leading scorer in a dismal season that saw the IceDogs win only three games. In his second season, he was traded to the Owen Sound Attack where he played until the end of the 2004-05 season.

Patrick was drafted by the Nashville Predators but immediately left for Germany after his OHL career was over. He spent two seasons with Eisbären Berlin (Berlin Polar Bears) in the DEL before returning to North America for a year split between the ECHL and AHL.

Last season, Jarrett spent time in Denmark with a steady point per game performance. This season was spent with Dresdner Eislöwen (Dresden Ice Lions) of Germany’s Bundesliga 2. Bundesliga 2 is to German hockey what the AHL is to North America. Patrick finished 10th in league scoring as his team finished 9th in the 14 team league.

For those who aren’t familiar with Germany, Dresden is located on the East side of the country, halfway down, on the border with the Czech Republic. The city has a population of over 500,000. The team plays in the 4200 seat Stadt Dresden.

For help navigating around the team’s official website, which is in German, there is a German hockey language guide in a previous post.
