  • Jean Beliveau Trophy

The Jean Beliveau Trophy is handed out each QMJHL season to the player with the most points during the regular season. The Trophy was first awarded in in 1969-70 to Luc Simard of the Trois Rivieres Ducs. In 1983-84, Mario Lemieux of the Laval Voisins won the Jean Beliveau with 282 points. Of course, that mark is all but untouchable as the record for most points in a QMJHL season.

When Sean Couturier of the Drummondville Voltigeurs won the Beliveau in 2009-10 with 96 points, it marked the only season in the Trophy’s history that the winner has less than 100 points. On six occasions, the winner has had over 200 points.
