Olimb played just one season in the OHL, 2004-05. He began the year with the London Knights but 10 games into the season, he was traded off to the Sarnia Sting and was denied being a part of London’s magical run to the Memorial Cup.
Mathis has represented his country in world competition throughout his junior career and as a pro.
2007-08 and 2008-09 were spent with the Augsburger Panthers of Germany’s DEL. This season, Mathis switched to Sweden’s SEL and played for the Frölunda Indians of Göteborg. He was third on the team in scoring with 33 points in 55 regular season games. He added 4 points in 7 playoff games.
