Lubomir Stach played just two seasons in the Ontario Hockey League and each season was split between two teams. In 2004-05, Stach started the season with the Belleville Bulls and ended with the Guelph Storm. In 2005-06, He started with the Storm and ended with the Peterborough Petes.
Lubomir’s OHL career was pretty uneventful until he landed in Peterborough. As a defenseman, he did well to contribute 17 points in the 30 regular season games he played there. In the team’s run to a Robertson Cup sweep of the London Knights and a Memorial Cup berth, Stach added 18 points in just 19 playoff games.
Lubomir has since played sporadically in the Extraliga back home in the Czech Republic. This past season, he played just seven regular season games with HC Kometa Brno (Brno Comets). His profile page on the team’s official website can be found by clicking this link. The rest of the season was spent in the 1.Liga, a step below the Extraliga, with Orli Znojmo. There, he added 19 points in 44 regular season games. His profile page on the Orli Znojmo official website is much more complete and can be found here.
