brock badgers oua cis hockey logoAlthough we don’t include Ontario Hockey League grads that are currently playing OUA hockey on the OHL Alumni Big List, the fact that there are well over 400 OHL alumni currently playing CIS hockey is too big to ignore. For the time being, we’re going to feature OHL grads from a different OUA team each Monday.

No better place to start than at the beginning of the alphabet. The Brock Badgers are presently in fifth in the OUA’s nine team Western Conference and tenth overall in the nineteen team league. This season, there are seven Ontario Hockey League grads playing for the Badgers.

Josh Schram played two seasons with the Kitchener Rangers, 2007-08 and 2008-09.

Kaine Geldart played four seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2006-07 to 2009-10. Geldart played his first three seasons with the Plymouth Whalers and his final season with the Kingston Frontenacs.

Thomas Stajan played four seasons in the OHL from 2006-07 to 2009-10. He played a half season with the Owen Sound Attack before being moved to the Brampton Battalion where he finished out his OHL career.

Derek Brochu played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2003-04 to 2007-08. He played for the Owen Sound Attack for the first four seasons and played his final season with the Guelph Storm.

Steve Miller also played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2003-04 to 2007-08. His first year was with the Kingston Frontenacs. The next three and half years were spent in a Sudbury Wolves uniform before being shipped to the Guelph Storm halfway through his final season.

Kevin Christmas played three seasons in the Ontario Hockey League from 2006-07 to 2008-09. Christmas began with the Brampton Battalion and shifted to the Kingston Frontenacs midway through his second season.

Jake Laplante played the same three seasons as Kevin Christmas but all with the Peterborough Petes.
